Really enjoyed my time with 12-year old boy and 10-year old girl.
First 30 minutes can be very frustrating for first time kids and parents. There are no careful explanation on how this works and kids don't last more than 1 second on that knee board.
Once they get a hang of it, it is all good from there.
If you are like me, a parents letting their kids have fun, you will need to help your kids carry the boards. Kids will have trouble making the turn so lot of board-carrying in the sun.
But kids will surely love it, they say it was best experience in Cairns, even better than great barrier reef snorkeling.
Bit of walking if you don't have a car. Bus to Smithfield, than more than 10 minutes walk from there.
